This is a holistic treatment (looking at the body as a whole), whilst working solely on the feet (excuse the pun!). It comes from the ancient technique of applying pressure to specific parts of the foot, which is believed to be connected to certain organs and body systems.
The Chinese medicine belief follows that energy which should flow through a body is blocked, causing the person to feel stressed or an imbalance leading to a physical illness. Reflexology is then used to remove the blockage, to allow free flowing energy, keeping the person balanced and disease free.
